This painting by world famous painter Pablo  Picasso  was auctioned for around $ 103,410,000 (7,57,77,91,731.00 Indian Rupee).

Pablo Picasso's painting is named "Marie-Therese".

Picasso created this painting in 1932.

The painting sold for a record $ 103.4 million at Christie's auction in New York on Thursday (May 14, 2021).

Christie's gave this information from her official Twitter handle.

In this painting of Pablo Picasso, a woman is sitting near the window.

The painting was sold 19 minutes after bidding for $ 90 million. Later on the fees and commissions were added, it was valued at $ 103.4 million.

The surprise about this painting is that the painting was sold 8 years ago at a London auction for $ 44.8 million. And now the price of this painting has been auctioned at double the prices.

Pablo Picasso was born on 25 October 1881 in the village of Malaga, Spain.

Very few people would know that Picasso was a painter as well as a sculptor.

Based on the use of colors, the period of Picasso is known from blue period and pink period.

From 1901 to 1904 - called the blue period. It featured a predominance of blue in Picasso's paintings.

From 1904 to 1906 - called the pink period. In this period, pink replaced the blue color in Picasso's paintings.

1906 - 1908 - called the Negro period. The most famous paintings of this period are "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon".

"Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907)" is considered the first painting of painting cubism. And Picasso was the "originator of cubism".

This great artist died on 8 April 1973.
